Matthieu Rytz is an award-winning visual storyteller and trained visual anthropologist. His debut feature documentary Anote's Ark (Sundance 2018) earned critical acclaim for its intimate portrayal of climate change in Kiribati. His follow-up, Deep Rising (Sundance 2023), reveals the global race for deep-sea minerals. Actively collaborating with NGOs, governments, and academic institutions, Matthieu's work bridges art, science, and advocacy-using film, photography, and immersive media to inform, inspire, and mobilize action for social and environmental justice.
